The morning was bright and warm with delicate rays of soothing Sunshine, and it was the perfect time to submit our best entry for SIKC's November Weight pulling trial. Prince Donovan the German Shepherd mix is one fine lad of ours, the last few weeks we've been getting him used to wearing his custom tailored weight pull harness, and eventually he's become comfortable with pulling slightly heavier and heavier weights until he was ready to pull 25 lbs worth of potatoes over a short distance for the trial, and for us to harness his power (get it? hehe)

Prince Donovan showed sweet cooperative enthusiasm in the beginning as we pointed toward the weighted sled and helped him understand why Weight pulling is a great fun sport and a good outlet for exercise and he quickly jumped on board, his eyes sparkled with interest and he was excited to perform his entry he had worked so hard for today to be presented to the judges. His paws stretched and his eyes squinted with controlled effort, as he pulled the weighted sleigh along with crisp grass, Austin cheered him on and his eyes glazed with pleasure, he did very well and we are quite impressed with his best endeavors! Jolly good lad, Prince Donovan! He's my strong and smart chap :) he deserves a tasty reward and an ear rub <3
